Lost Maples

This weekend Josh and I went to Lost Maples State Park located in Vanderpool, Texas (Near Garner State Park). We hiked about 10 miles over hills and valleys to see the beautiful views of the maple trees. The views were spectacular! Ainsley stayed with Grandma and Grandpa. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for everything you do for us. Ainsley told me she had a blast - she has been sleeping more than usual:)

Making Baby Food

Josh and I decided to start making baby food instead of buying the baby jar food. Mainly because it is healthy for Ainsley and saves us some money. Today, we got a little carried away. As you can see in the pictures, the kitchen was a mess. We made sweet potatoes, peas, applesauce, peaches and I can't remember what else. Oh yeah - prunes - my favorite. We have a baby cook book that was given to me when I was pregnant. The neat part about the cookbook is that it tells you to put the unused baby food in ice trays and freeze it. Then, you can just pull it out when you are ready.
Ainsley was a little upset because she couldn't see what we were doing in the kitchen. So, we decided to put her in her back pack carrier. She always likes to see what we are doing. She is afraid she may miss something!

Pumpkin Patch

Josh and I took Ainsley to the pumpkin patch on Monday afternoon. We had a lot of fun picking out pumkins for each other. We picked a mommy pumkin, daddy pumpkin and a baby pumpkin. Josh was thrilled by my creative thinking skills. Since Ainsley had been sitting up, we got several good pictures of her.

Aarika and Clint's Wedding

Last night, we went to Aarika and Clint's wedding. It was located in Hockley, Texas at the House Plantation. It was a beautiful setting. We really enjoyed spending time with our friends and family while enjoying the cool October night.

Josh and I decided it would probably be easier to carry Ainsley around in the backpack carrier. At first, she didn't last long in the carrier because everyone wanted to hold her. However, I am happy I remembered to bring it because it was much easier dancing.

Football Game Continued

Last weekend, we went to another football game. We always have so much fun. This time Ainsley was dressed for the game. Grandma, Grandpa and Ma bought her pink bobcat overalls. I think she looked adorable:)

At half time, we watched the Texas Southern band perform. It seemed like it was more a band competition. They were entertainers. I ALMOST had more fun watching them than the game.

Sitting up

For the last couple of weeks, Ainsley has starting sitting up by herself. Tonight, right after I took this picture, she fell back. So, I still don't get far when she is sitting up because I'm afraid she may hurt herself. The little chair she usually sits in is getting too small. We are constantly changing out clothes, toys, chairs, ect. and she is only 6 months old. We already need a bigger house for Ainsley's stuff!

6 Months Old

Today Ainsley is 6 months old. I can't believe it! She has already grown and changed so much since she was born on April 1. Everyday I watch her take in the things around her. This week she started sitting up without assistance. Ainsley had a new baby in her daycare today who is 8 weeks old. It is amazing the difference. I am looking forward to watching her change over the years.
