Ainsley's Birthday Party

Last weekend, we had Ainsley's first birthday party. I can't believe it has already been one year. Last year at this time, I was in labor anxiously awaiting Ainsley's arrival. Every minute we waited was totally worth it. Anyway . . . the party was a hit. Many of our friends and family came. It is so nice knowing how much everyone cares so much about Ainsley. We had the party at the Kyle park. The weather was beautiful. It was a great day for a party. Ainsley had so much fun that she was completely worn out when the party was over.

Ainsley's First Steps

We have seen big changes in Ainsley this week. She has slowing started standing by herself and now she is taking 3 or 4 steps by herself. It is amazing to me how much babies change in such a short amount of time. Before we know it she is going to be walking all over the house. I can't wait to continuously see the changes in Ainsley. She is a little bundle of joy.

Houston Rodeo

On Thursday of spring break, my Mom, Dad, Ainsley and I went to the Houston Rodeo. Yes- my Mom played hooky. When we arrived, we were greeted by Stewart. Stewart was working at the rodeo. The day was full of exciting chilren's events. This year we were lucky to have Ainsley so that we could participate. Ainsley rode a pony, petted animals in the petting zoo, watched pigs racing, and much more. I have to say - I think the adults enjoyed themselves more than Ainsley did. Check out the pictures and video. My favorite picture is Ainsley in the bull riding arena.

Enchanted Rock

For our spring break outing, Ainsley and I went to Enchanted Rock with our friends. For those of you who haven't seen it, the gigantic rock is amazing with a beautiful view of the hill counrty on top. I have to admit climbing the rock was a little harder than I thought. I must say that I am not in shape. It was a little steep, but with the help of my friends, we made it to the top and back down with Ainsley. Thank you Tonya for carrying her all the way up.

Party City

Since Ainsley's first birthday is coming up, we went to Party City to get decorations for her party. We decided on a lady bug and butterfly theme. As you can see in the picture, Ainsley enjoyed trying on the strawberry shortcake hat.

Food Change

This week we have decided to change what and how we are giving Ainsley food. We have gotten in the bad habit of always giving her baby food with a spoon. So now, we are focusing on giving her more of what we eat and having her feed herself. In the picture you can see the mess Ainsley has made while feeding herself pasta. I don't know why I keep cleaning the floor underneath her becuase it just gets dirty again. I think I should probably buy something to put under her highchair.

Toilet Papering the Bathroom

Ainsley is known for liking toilet paper. She has been toilet papering our bathrooms daily. I have been closing the doors to the bathrooms, but I forgot this morning. I even put the toilet paper on top of the toilet. It's amazing how far she can reach.

Happy Birthday Sam

Last night we went to a surprise 30th birthday party for our good friend Sam. I think he was actually pretty surprised. As you can tell from the picture, the guys had a good time telling the same 10 high school stories that they always tell. The good old days - Hee hee!

Happy Birthday K.P.

K.P.'s first birthday was on Monday. Mom, Ainsley and I went to his birthday party on Sunday. The weather was perfect for an outdoor party. I think we all had a great time.

Dress Fitting Party

This year we are going to Galveston the first weekend in May for our annual birthday bash girls only weekend. We always have a theme night. This year the theme night is formal night or should I say prom gone bad night. This last weekend we got together to fit our dresses. As you can tell from the pictures we had a lot of fun! I am looking forward to our weekend together.
